MAC has been founded by Brett MacLachlan who was raised and educated in Zimbabwe and moved to South Africa after obtaining a Private Pilot's Licence. He started full time commercial flying in South Africa and then joined the national airline of Zimbabwe where he operated as a pilot on turboprop aircraft before being licenced on the Boeing 707.

In 1985 he joined Qantas in Australia as a co-pilot on the Boeing 747 and then the Boeing 747-400. He operated as an airline pilot until 1994 when he ventured into the corporate aviation environment based in London as Chief Pilot to a high net worth individual. He moved to Dubai in the Middle East and as well as operate as a pilot became the Director of Operations for the Royal Flight of Dubai, a unique multi aircraft environment with ownership of over a dozen aircraft ranging from large B747-400, Boeing 737-700IGW (BBJ) and smaller narrow bodied business jets. As well he also undertook several associated projects as a consultant. These included two start-up AOC Charter Companies, the acquisitions of several aircraft from large wide bodied to large narrow bodied aircraft and also served as the Director of Operations and post holder at both the Royal Flight and in an associated company.

He relocated to Australia where he has served as a Head of Operations for a large corporation in Sydney operating a large narrow bodied aircraft and has been involved in the prospective expansion of the flight department at a time to be determined.

He brings decades of aviation experience to MAC with expertise in operational and flying capability combined with aircraft acquisition expertise and other projects having been involved in aircraft completions and management. He currently serves on the Pilot Advisory Board to Embraer Executive Jets and advises on an ad hoc basis on several aviation matters.
